Example requests

Use these requests as starting points. Change the client, role and requirements to suit your assignment. Their wording is not a formula.

Kaiya chooses the method and researches missing facts. Tell Kaiya which assumptions or results to correct.

Keep the details that matter to the work, such as exclusions, evidence you need and the format of the result. For follow-ups, stay in the conversation with the brief and earlier results.

Read How to work with Kaiya for help with briefing Kaiya and reviewing the results.

Start a complex search in plain language

This short request gives Kaiya enough to begin:

Find candidates for a COO role at a growing logistics business. They need
experience of opening depots and improving delivery performance.

Give Kaiya more of the brief as you agree it with the client:

Roadrunner Logistics has opened three depots in a year. The CEO is still
approving the rotas. They need someone who can run the operation and prepare
for the next phase of growth. Use the attached brief. Candidates must have
managed multiple depots and be able to work in Birmingham three days a week.
Exclude the firms on the attached off-limits list.

Use the first result to refine the work:

The regional operations directors are closest to what we need. Find more
people with that experience. Check who had responsibility for opening new
depots, rather than joining after they opened. Keep our location requirement
and off-limits list.

See Create a candidate longlist or follow the step-up CFO example.

Requests for Partners

Find a reason to contact a prospect

Review this month's investment, acquisitions and senior moves in European
industrial technology. Identify companies that may need leadership appointments.
Show the news behind each suggestion. Keep confirmed appointments separate from
possible search opportunities.

Prepare for a client meeting

Prepare a briefing for my meeting with Acme Robotics' CEO about their first COO.
Use the attached company notes and our previous meeting summary. Include what
we know about the market for leaders who have opened factories, and questions
that will help us agree what the new COO needs to do.

Develop a market point of view

Help me prepare a pitch for Acme Software's first Chief People Officer search.
Use the attached client brief. Research the market for leaders who have brought
teams together after acquisitions. Explain where we could find them and which
requirements may limit the search. Include sources for the claims we could use.

Turn notes into a success profile

Acme Robotics needs a COO before its second factory opens. The brief says
"strategic" six times. Use the attached notes to draft clear requirements and a
success profile. Identify the decisions we still need from the client.

Compare shortlist trade-offs

Compare these three COO candidates against the agreed scorecard. Acme needs
someone who can open the second factory and improve the first. Show evidence
for both requirements and the questions we still need to answer.

Draft a client follow-up

Draft a follow-up to Acme's CEO from today's notes. Confirm the changes to the
brief, agreed actions and the next update date. List points we still need the
client to confirm without presenting them as agreed.

Turn research into a post

Draft a LinkedIn post from these acquisition notes. My view: boards spend
months choosing the deal and too little time choosing who will run the combined
business. Explain what they should consider. Include the sources for my review.

See Help for Partners.

Requests for Researchers

Create a target company list

Build a target company list for the Acme Robotics COO search. Use the attached
brief. Find manufacturers whose operations leaders have opened factories and
managed production in Europe and the US. Explain why each company fits and
give sources for the important facts.

Map a sector

Map UK logistics businesses with multiple depots. Group them by services,
company size and ownership. Show where we could find candidates for the
Roadrunner COO brief attached here. Identify parts of the market that need
more research.

Find target candidates

Find candidates on leading professional networking sites for the attached
Roadrunner COO brief. Use our logistics company map as a starting point. Include
other companies if their leaders meet the brief. Show evidence that candidates
managed multiple depots and opened new ones. Exclude the firms on the attached
off-limits list.

Research a person

Research the candidate in this LinkedIn profile and CV. Assess their experience
against the attached COO scorecard. Check which factories they helped to open
and what they did. Separate facts, their statements and your assessment.

Find gaps in a result set

Most of this longlist comes from large businesses. Find leaders who grew smaller
operations and still meet the brief. Keep the agreed location requirements and
off-limits firms. Show what they achieved and the evidence behind each suggestion.

Use your firm's earlier research

Find our previous operations leadership searches in industrial manufacturing
in Invenias. Show relevant companies, placements and colleagues involved.
Identify research we could reuse for the Acme Robotics brief attached here.
Check any old facts that would affect the new search.

This request uses your firm's Invenias connection. You can attach previous research or an export instead.

See Help for Researchers.

Requests for Associates

Turn a brief into an assignment plan

Prepare the Roadrunner assignment plan from the attached brief and meeting
notes. Include the agreed requirements, open decisions and actions. Name the
person responsible and due date where we agreed them. Identify conflicts
between the documents.

Prepare a candidate profile

Prepare a candidate profile for Alex from the attached interview notes,
LinkedIn profile and CV. Use our agreed structure. Mark claims that need
another source or confirmation from Alex.

Prepare a client update

Prepare the update for our next Acme meeting. The client has 20 minutes.
Include progress since last week, candidates to discuss and decisions we need.
Use the latest assignment notes and results in this conversation.

Turn a recording into actions

Create notes and actions from this Roadrunner call recording. Separate what
we agreed from what we discussed. "Friday might work" needs confirmation
before it goes into the diary.

Check assignment records

Review the Roadrunner assignment notes and this conversation. List missing or
conflicting people, company and assignment details we need to resolve before
the next client report.

See Help for Associates.

Requests for results

Refine a table

Add each candidate's current role, location and responsibility for factory
openings to this result. Show the supporting dates and sources. Mark anything
you cannot confirm.

Requests that use Invenias

Requires Invenias

Invenias search, Invenias updates and assignment reports require Invenias.

Without Invenias, use professional networking sites, other online sources and attached files. Kaiya can also prepare a change table for manual entry or create a standard Word report.

Assignment reports also require access to Reports and one of your firm's templates. If you cannot see Reports, contact the Kaiya team at hello@kaiya.ai.

leadership assignments. Group the counts by assignment and consultant. Count
each person once per assignment. List candidates on those assignments with no
recorded stage in a separate table.

Update an Invenias record

Update this candidate's current role and company in Invenias using the attached
interview notes and the record linked in this conversation.

Kaiya checks for possible matches and presents a plan for your approval. Find previous plans in CRM updates. See Update Invenias.

Requests for web research

Investigate a market question

Which warehouse automation businesses are expanding in Europe this year?

Include the source and date for each expansion plan. Mark leadership needs
as your assessment unless the company has announced them.

for our headline. Do not add text.

Change an image

Change the background of the attached image to a pale grey office.
Keep the people, composition and lighting unchanged.

See Create or edit an image.

Requests for Instructions and Memories

Ask Kaiya to remember information during any conversation. You can also ask Kaiya to show, change or forget saved information.

Set an Instruction

Remember that my client updates should start with decisions needed,
then cover progress, risks and next steps.

Save a Memory

Remember for other conversations about the Roadrunner COO search: candidates
must be able to work in Birmingham three days a week.

Review Memories

Show me the Memories you use for my work so I can check, edit or delete them.

Tell Kaiya which client or assignment a saved fact concerns. Keep the full assignment evidence in the assignment conversation or Invenias.
